Now, active COVID cases below 3,000-mark

As recoveries are exceeding new COVID-19 cases consistently, the active COVID-19 cases in Goa have dropped below the 3000-mark
on Thursday.

The state registered 247 fresh cases of the contagious virus while 348 COVID positive patients recovered from the disease. The state’s active COVID cases currently stand
at 2,991.

Till date, Goa has seen 41,586 confirmed cases of COVID-19 of which 38,031 patients have defeated the deadly virus. The current recovery rate in Goa is 91.45 per cent.

According to DHS, the 2,991 active cases include two persons, who travelled to Goa from outside by road, rail and air.

Current active positive cases are as follows:

urban health centres – Margao (256), Vasco (166), Panaji (144) and
Mapusa (144).

Community health centres- Sakhali (114), Bicholim (115), Pernem (82), Valpoi (65), Curchorem (59) and
Canacona (52).

Primary health centres – Aldona (51), Betki (33), Candolim (125), Cansarvanem (17), Colvale (66), Corlim (85), Chimbel (203), Siolim (90), Porvorim (196), Mayem (23),  Balli (53), Cansaulim (69), Chinchinim (14), Cortalim (145), Curtorim (93), Loutolim (51), Marcaim (49), Quepem (86), Sanguem (41), Shiroda (34), Dharbandora (37), Ponda (194) and
Navelim (37).
