Senior Congress leader and former Karnataka pradesh Congress committee president Dinesh Gundu Rao on Friday took charge as the All-India Congress committee secretary in-charge of Goa desk.
Rao held a series of meetings with CLP leader Digambar Kamat, Goa pradesh Congress committee president Girish Chodankar and office-bearers of the party in Panaji.
Interacting with media persons, the newly-appointed AICC secretary in-charge of Goa desk said that he will work
together with local leaders to strengthen the party in the state.
Refusing to comment on the Mhadei water dispute between Goa and his home state of Karnataka, Rao said, “I will discuss the Mhadei tangle and other issues related to Goa with our party leaders and then comment on them.”
Rao will address a press conference in Panaji on Saturday where he will answer questions on different issues including the Mhadei water dispute.
