Active COVID cases drop further

The state on Friday reported 227 fresh cases of the COVID-19 pandemic, taking the tally of active COVID cases to 2,824.

Around 390 patients have recovered from the disease on Friday.

With this surge in cases and recoveries, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Goa currently stands at 41,813 of which 38,421 patients have defeated the deadly virus.

According to DHS, the 2,824 active cases include two persons, who travelled to Goa from outside.

Current active positive cases are as follows:

Urban health centres – Margao (249), Vasco (146), Panaji (128) and Mapusa (136).

Community health centres – Sankhali (94), Bicholim (131), Pernem (80), Valpoi (57), Curchorem (57) and Canacona (49).

Primary health centres – Aldona (42), Betki (41), Candolim (120), Cansarvanem (18), Colvale (63), Corlim (92), Chimbel (154), Siolim (82), Porvorim (191), Mayem (30),  Balli (46), Cansaulim (63), Chinchinim (23), Cortalim (116), Curtorim (98), Loutolim (54), Marcaim (52), Quepem (53), Sanguem (45), Shiroda (44), Dharbandora (38), Ponda (190) and Navelim (40).
