Rush for income certificates at Salcete mamlatdar’s office




Salcete mamlatdar’s office is flooded with applications for income

Sources informed that October 31 being the last day for applying for Griha Aadhar Scheme, and therefore, the people are rushing to obtain income certificates from the office of mamlatdar.   

“For the last many days, I have been receiving 300 to 400 applications daily asking for income certificates. These certificates are mostly sought for availing of Griha Adhar Scheme,” said mamlatdar of Salcete Prataprao Gaonkar.

He informed that all these applications could not, however, be cleared on the same day as, he is engaged with other important works.

The applications once submitted to the office of the mamlatdar, the concerned talathi report has to be obtained. Talathi verifies the facts and gives his report and based on the report, the mamlatdar office issues the income certificate.

Sources informed that several applications are pending because of talathi’s report.

A couple of talathis are learnt to have been infected with COVID-19 and, hence, the issuance of reports are delayed.

Mamlatdar Gaonkar, however, assured that pendency would be cleared within this week. He informed that many applications seeking residence certificates have also been cleared.
