Sudin smells scam in PM Kisan Scheme

Ponda: After the labour scam in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, former deputy chief minister and Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar smells a scam in the PM Kisan Scheme.

Dhavalikar demanded details of the farmers benefiting from the PM Kisan Scheme, wherein Rs 6,000 is transferred per year into the accounts of farmers. Dhavalikar also demanded a CBI inquiry into the alleged labour scam, instead of an inquiry from the anti-corruption bureau.

According to Dhavalikar there are around 60 beneficiaries of the Workers Relief Fund in his constituency and out of it around 6 people have not received any money in their accounts despite having their names under the beneficiaries.

The information obtained from the government department states that these people have received around Rs 6,500 each, but their bank account transactions shows nothing, This proves that the workers relief fund is a big scam and there is a need for a CBI inquiry, demanded Dhavalikar.

Sudin Dhavalikar further stated that similar to workers relief fund, the state government had recently transferred around Rs 6,000 into the account of farmers under the PM Kisan Scheme. It may turn out to be a big scam too and many of the beneficiaries may turn out to be BJP workers or party members or the money may be transferred into others accounts in the name of the farmers, he said.

For that purpose the state government should declare details of each farmer beneficiaries receiving the money under the PM Kisan Scheme. Details such as name, address, total area under cultivation and their 1 and 14th form details should be made public, Sudin Dhavalikar said.

BJP will get single digit seats in 2022 polls: Sudin

Ponda: Reacting to the latest political development in the Ponda Municipal Council, MGP supremo Sudin Dhavalikar has claimed that the BJP will be reduced to single digit seats in the 2022 assembly election for their low level politics in the state.

Dhavalikar said that in recent years BJP has focused more on poaching MLAs and political members from other parties, rather than electing their own. In COVID-19 times, BJP has focused on politics rather than health of the people and whatever they are doing is low level politics, he said.

There is history in Goa, where parties that have tried breaking and splitting other parties have never won elections, he said.
