Goa on Tuesday witnessed sharp decline in active COVID-19 positive cases as the state reported 381 fresh cases linked to the dreaded infection.
On Monday, active positive cases stood at 4,917 and according to the media bulletin released by the directorate of health services, current active positive cases stand at 4,577.
Compared to last week, the number of active COVID cases has come down by over 1,000 cases.
709 more patients have recovered in the last 24 hours in the state.

The death toll linked to coronavirus has mounted to 419 after 12 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours.
The state tested 1,750 swab samples on Tuesday.
Another 312 asymptomatic positive persons have opted for home isolation and 94 asymptomatic positive patients were hospitalised on Tuesday.
Among total active positive cases, the Porvorim primary health centre has the highest number of cases with 396 followed by 366 cases at the Sankhali community health centre and 295 cases in the jurisdiction of Margao urban health centre.
The active positive cases in the jurisdiction of other urban health centres include Panaji (267), Vasco (236), and Mapusa (239).
Among the community health centres, Bicholim has 162 active cases, Pernem accounts for 144 cases, Valpoi has 225 cases, Curchorem has 54 and Canacona has 106 cases in its jurisdiction.
The active cases in other primary health centres in North Goa include Aldona (89), Betki (93), Candolim (113), Cansarvanem (52), Colvale (18), Corlim (195), Chimbel (199), Siolim (199) and Mayem (40).
Parts of South Goa having active positive cases include Balli PHC (51), Cansaulim PHC (107), Chinchinim PHC (62), Cortalim PHC (273), Curtorim PHC (45), Loutolim PHC (73), Marcaim PHC (54), Quepem PHC (59), Sanguem PHC (87), Shiroda PHC (18), Dharbandora PHC (92), Ponda PHC (103) and Navelim PHC (62) in its jurisdiction.
Three persons who travelled from the outside Goa are also among active COVID-19 positive cases in the state.
