Goa reported 503 fresh COVID-19 positive cases on Saturday and 688 positive patients recovered from the dreaded infection in the last 24 hours.
With new 503 cases reported on Saturday, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed positive cases mounted to 31,574.
According to the media bulletin released by the directorate of health services on Saturday, currently there are 5,424 active positive cases across Goa.
The death count linked to COVID-19 pandemic stands at 391 after five people died in the last 24 hours.
Till date 25,759 people, who were tested positive for COVID-19, recovered in the state with the recovery rate of 81.58 percent.
The state tested 1,983 swab samples in the last 24 hours.
At the same time, 272 symptomatic positive patients have been hospitalised and 352 asymptomatic people opted for home isolation in the last 24 hours in Goa.
The community health centre Sankhali has surpassed in having active COVID-19 positive cases on Saturday.
The CHC Sankhali has the highest number of active positive cases with 425.
The Urban Health Center Margao has 409 active cases in its jurisdiction.
The primary health centre, Porvorim has the highest number of active cases with 392 among PHCs.
The active positive cases in the jurisdiction of other urban health centers include Panaji (330), Vasco (318), and Mapusa (274).
Among the community health centres, Bicholim has 203 active cases, Pernem has 229 cases, Valpoi has 229 cases, Curchorem has 92 and Canacona has 132 cases in its jurisdiction.
The primary health centres having the active positive cases include PHC Cortalim with 263 cases, PCH Chimbel with 219 cases, Corlim and Siolim with 222 each in its jurisdictions.
Other areas having active positive cases in North Goa district include PHC Aldona (131)) PHC Betki (120), PHC Candolim (151), PHC Cansarvanem (74), PHC Colvale (24), and PHC Mayem (40).
Other parts of South Goa having active positive cases include PHC Ponda (128), PHC Balli (56), PHC Cansaulim (117), PHC Chinchinim (57), PHC Curtorim (31), PHC Loutolim (91), PHC Marcaim (89), PHC Quepem (72), PHC Sanguem (90), PHC Shiroda (18), PHC Dharbandora (118) and PHC Navelim (56) in its jurisdictions.
Two persons who travelled from the outside Goa also tested positive for COVID-19.
The health bulletin also stated that in North Goa out of total bed capacity of 545 currently 217 are vacant and in South Goa out of 1,006 beds, 534 are vacant in various COVID care centers.
