39 new COVID cases detected in Panaji

The Panaji city, on Thursday, reported 39 fresh cases of deadly corona virus. This was revealed by the city Mayor Uday Madkaikar.

“33 patients have opted for home isolation,”
he said.

Speaking to this daily, Madkaikar informed that most of the patients have sought home isolation while only 6 have been either admitted in private hospitals or COVID care centre for treatment.

“Out of these cases, six cases were detected at Ribandar, five cases at Altinho, three at Chincholem, and three cases at Miramar,”
he added  

“Three persons from Chincholem – a 59-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman, and a 21-year-old woman tested positive for the deadly virus, and they have opted for home isolation,”
he said.

“Three COVID patients from Fondvem-Ribandar – a 36-year-old woman and two 48-year-old persons opted for home isolation while two patients from Manaswada – A 70-year-old man and 65-year-old woman, and a 26-year-old man staying near Milroc Ribandar Retreat, who tested positive for COVID, have also opted for home isolation,” he said.

“A 23-year-old person staying next to Fr Agnelo Road in Altinho, a 65-year-old person residing near government quarters, Altinho, a 29-year-old woman also staying near government quarters, a 54-year-old woman, residing near government quarters, and a 56-year-old man staying near government guest house, Altinho, have tested positive for the deadly virus,”
he informed.

“Three COVID patients from Miramar – a 30-year-old man, a 27-year-old man,  residing near St Mary Colony, besides a 36-year-old man from La Campala Colony have been shifted to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium,” he added.
