
Margao: As a part of ‘Goa Grow Greener’ project, the Navelim Biodiversity Management Committee (NBMC) through the Goa State Biodiversity Board, on Wednesday, handed over 200 fruit-bearing saplings to the Perpetual Succour Convent High School and the Navelim pachayat.
The chairperson of Navelim Biodiversity Management Committee Celly Coutinho along with the secretary, Joaquim Rodrigues, was present on the occasion. The panchayat members then distributed the saplings in their wards.
Sarpanch Bevinda Gonsalves, panchayat members and members of the NBMC were also involved in the distribution of the saplings in the village wards.
