Awareness workshop for PACS on Cooperative Development Fund

PANAJI: The Workshop cum meeting of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies  (Vividh Karyakari seva Sahakari Saunstha) was organised by The Goa State Co-operative Bank Ltd, Panaji Goa on January 18, 2020 at The Goa State Co-operative Bank Ltd Sahakat Sankul, Patto Plaza Panaji Goa. The main purpose of the workshop cum meeting was to revive the non functional PACS in the state and to create awareness among PACS about the Cooperative Development Fund (CDF) of the NABARD available to the PACS for the development of Infrastructure facilities which provides grant assistance to eligible PACS in the state of Goa for enhancing business, increasing profitability, mobilizing deposits etc. In his welcome speech Ulhas Phaldessai, Chairman of The Goa State Co-op Bank Ltd appraised the participants the role of the PACS in Cooperative sector. Ajay Nayak, Manager NABARD, gave presentation on Cooperative Development Fund (CDF) to the participants. He also attended to the various queries of the participants relating to the Cooperative Development Fund (CDF) to their satisfactions. Pandurang Sawant, Asst Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Central Zone, Panaji Goa, made appeal to the participants to make use of the Fund.  Upasso Gaonkar, Premanand Chawdikar and Krishna Kudnekar , the directors of the  Bank  guided the participants. Pandurang N Kurtikar, Vice Chairman of The Goa State Co-op Bank Ltd gave vote of thanks. NT

Fire Safety services distribute Self-contained Breathing Apparatus

In support of the initiative undertaken by the Office of the Collector, North Goa, to enhance the emergency management capabilities of the state, Deccan Fine Chemicals (I) Pvt Ltd under its CSR programme, recently provided 12 Self-contained Breathing Apparatus to the cause.  Ashok Menon, Director Fire and Emergency Services received these apparatuses from R Menaka, Collector North Goa and Yogesh Arora, Head HR and CSR, Deccan Fine Chemicals. Additional collector-II North Goa, Dasharath Redkar and officials from Department of Fire and Emergency Services as well as Deccan Fine Chemicals were also present at the event.
