Swami Vivekanand College students at study tour to Chandigarh-Amritsar-Manali


The Study Tour and Travel Committee of Swami Vivekanand Vidyaprasarak Mandal’s College of Commerce organised a study tour to Chandigarh-Amritsar-Manali. The purpose of the study tour was to enable students’ tolearn in an informal environment, build healthy relationships with other students which will help them in future when they are set out in an unfamiliar world to grow professionally.

A total of 30 students along with six staff members attended the tour. The tour was organised by the committee members with the help of a tour agency firm named ‘Yatra Katha’, Caranzalem, Panaji. The committee members finalised the places to visit while rest of the arrangements were made by the tour agency. The journey started from Chandigarh wherein the group visited Pinjore Garden, Rock Garden and Sukana Lake. Next the group had a trip to Gulaba snow point, Manali where they admired the enchanting sights of the surroundings and enjoyed the snowfall showers with various adventurous activities.The group also paid a visit to Vashisht hot springs and Hadimba temple. Lastly, in Amritsar the group visited the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and attended the flag lowering ceremony at the Attari-Wagah Border.
