Goa’s Sandhya Melasheemi bagged triple crown in the All India Masters Ranking Badminton Tournament 2019 held in Nagpur on Wednesday.
Sandhya emerged winner in three events of the 35+ categories, women’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
In the women’s singles event, Sandhya had an easy outing against her opponent Aditi Rode of Maharashtra in the final where she beat her in straight sets 21-14, 21-16.
While playing the doubles final along with her partner, Aditi Rode, whom she triumphed in the singles, they outplayed Yupu Boni and Shantala Kampapurmath 21-8, 21-12 to be crowned champs.
In the mixed double final, she partnered Varun Sharma of Chhattisgarh and beat Pankaj Naithani and Aneesha Mehta with ease 21-14, 21-14.
