No plans to meet Amit Shah in Delhi: Vijai

Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai on Friday stated that he has no plans to meet the BJP national president Amit Shah when the GFP leader is going to be in the national capital in support of Goa’s mining dependants’ dharna to be staged in Delhi.

Speaking to media on the sidelines of inauguration of the Forum for Innovation Incubation  Research  and Entrepreneurship (FIIRE) at Don Bosco Engineering College, Fatorda, Vijai ruled out any plans to meet with Shah even though the latter had assured of taking a review of Goa’s political situation, in particular the demands made by the state government’s alliance partners.

“I have no plans to meet with Amit Shah; neither Amit Shah has fixed a meeting with GFP ministers. I am going to Delhi to support the mining dependants’ agitation at Jantar Mantar. I will stay there till December 11,” he stated, adding that, he will be accompanied by two other Goa Forward Party (GFP) ministers.

Sources however informed that Sardesai, who is the key partner in the BJP-led government in Goa, wants to explain to the Centre that the issue of mining needs to be resolved before the Lok Sabha election.

Congress on the other hand has launched a taluka-wise campaign on poor governance in the state.
