Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) recently conducted a soft skill training programme for its staff members including senior managers, managers, assistant managers, housekeepers and staff from tourist facilitation centers and head office. Corporate coach, Pravin Sabnis conducted the two day training programme at Paryantan Bhavan, Patto. A talk on investment opportunities was also conducted by representatives of Bank of Baroda during the training session.
Gavin Dias, general manager, GTDC welcomed and coordinated the sessions. The two day training programme concluded with a valedictory function with Nilesh Cabral, chairman, GTDC presenting certificates to all the participants. GTDC senior officials such as DB Sawant, Laxmikant Vaigankar, Gavin Dias and Deepak Narvekar were also present.
Speaking at the occasion, Cabral, said, “Training workshops have become the need of the hour in any organised and professional sector. GTDC is a leading tourism board in India and is working towards setting certain benchmarks in the tourism and hospitality sector. Keeping its personnel equipped with the latest skills will help boost the morale and efficiency across the corporation. We are fortunate to have Pravin Sabnis conduct this two day training programme and I also congratulate the staff for making this training workshop a success.”
