2 Kerala drug peddlers land in police net

Panaji: Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Goa police have arrested two persons, both residents of Kerala and seized drugs worth around Rs 2.5 lakh during a raid conducted at a location in Anjuna on Tuesday night. The accused have been identified as Mohammad Rafi (24) and Shanoob K H (23). Police have seized 48 square shaped papers suspected to be LSD worth over Rs 2.5 lakh.

According to police, the drugs were found concealed in their scooter and were meant for illegal sale to tourists visiting the state. 

Both the accused have been frequenting Goa since the last two years during tourist season and were allegedly involved in illegal drugs trade. The accused came to Goa in the last week of November and were in search of prospective customer for selling drugs, the police said. The raid was conducted by ANC team led by PIs Sudesh Velip and Shitakant Nayak. PSI Rohan Madgaonkar is investigating the case.
