Women’s league bitten by GFA bug

The Vedanta Women’s League got a taste of GFA’s organisation as the match between Panjim Footballers and Albert’s Princesses at Duler stadium on Wednesday started late as there appeared to be communication error between GFA referee in-charge Anthony D’Costa and the officials for the evening. As such, the match that was officially expected to start at 5 pm started at 5.25 pm.

The match officials were informed that the match was to start at 6.30 pm and the media were informed the match was scheduled at 5 pm and as such the referees arrived late.

Meanwhile, Panjim Footballers continued their winning streak as they registered a hard-fought 1-0 win over Albert Princesses in the fifth round match.

The win enabled Panjim Footballers take the top spot with 13 points while Albert Princesses stay on seven points.
