Web series, ‘Khushfehmiyaan’, shot exclusively in Goa, was launched on Friday at the hands of minister for art and culture, Govind Gaude at the secretariat, Porvorim.
The online series which stars Nasir Abdullah, Maitrik Thakkar, Pratibha Tiwarrii, Aman Tyagi and Ankit Raizada is currently streaming on the online platform, Gemplex.
Present at the occasion were director, Vishal Kumar Patil; chairman of Gemplex and producer, Prakash Tiwari; creative producer, Avishek Majumder and Goan film veteran, Dharmanand Vernekar.
In his address, Gaude said that through the web series, hinterland tourism and the scenic beauty of Goa is taken to greater heights. “Our ministry wants to inculcate and promote a film culture in Goa, to create job opportunities for Goans. And I congratulate the makers of the show, the director, producer and the entire team of Gemplex and wish them a lot of success in their venture,” he said. Gaude also invited the makers of the show to explore the hinterlands of Goa for more such stories and showcase the unexplored beauty of the state
The subject of the film was conceptualised around the idea of happiness, said Patil. “It is a clean subject for the entire family to watch together and we hope a lot of Goans support us,” said Patil adding that he wishes to project this series across 52 countries.
The cast of the series comprises both actors from other states as well as Goan local talent. The series has six episodes and is directed by Vishal Kumar Patil, produced by Prakash Tiwari and Rohan Tiwari, co-produced by Pragati Tiwari and Nisha Tiwari while the music was provided by Avishek Majumder.
