VVA observes World Autism Day

Vidya Vikas Academy (VVA), Margao observed World Autism Day also known as ‘The Light it up Blue Campaign’.

On the occasion, the students from the Life Skill Resource Room showcased their unique talents through rhythmic songs and dances. The programme commenced with a short prayer service followed by a hymn for which the autistic students assisted in playing the musical instruments. A song ‘Your Grace is Sufficient for me’ was sung by these students followed by the recitation of a thought provoking poem.

Leonilda Martins, a parent of the resource room student spoke her heart out about her daughter’s memorable journey in the school’s Life Skill Resource Room spread over the past 10 years.

Principal, Joble Bijoy addressing the gathering, congratulated the teachers and parents for their dedication towards the students with special needs and also applauded the performance of the resource room students.

The programme was concluded with a stellar puppet dance show, by the students from the resource room.
