We have reversed the earlier scheme of farmer first spending on harvesting and then collecting the same amount from the department. We will be soon have a separate market only for the local vegetable growers,’’ he said.
He said that wells will be constructed for these local farmers to provide a boost to kitchen garden.
Speaking on the issue of GST on tiatrs he said that the GFP will take up the issue, and promised further that GST will not be applicable to tiatrs and dramas.
On Fatorda police station, he said that the staff will be increased very soon, and for that he would be meeting the Chief Minister soon.
He also assured of a strict action against the “chronic law breakers at the wholesale fish market.’’
Despite Sardesai’s strict warning to stop retailing of fish at the wholesale fish market, the illegal retaining of fish is being carried out there, with the authorities being silent spectators.
