Union Bank of India is celebrating its century year. Celebrations started on Sunday, November 11 2018 with the release of a postal stamp by Arun Jaitle, finance minister, on the Mumbai Post Department’s corporate MyStamp scheme. Established on November 11, 1919, the Union Bank network today comprises more than 4,300 branches, pan-India, with over 39,000 employees providing services. The bank has more than 6,800 ATMs and 59 per cent of the branches are in rural and semi-urban areas. Union Bank has a big share in the Digital India initiative. In Goa region, there are 16 branches. According to Vikas Kumar Sinha, regional manager, the business is more than Rs 3000 crores in the Goa region which includes Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri districts.
