PANAJI: The transfer order of IPS officers Kartik Kashyap and Priyanka Kadhyap was cancelled on Friday evening, hours after it was issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Union Home Ministry on Friday had issued an order transferring 21 IPS officers of AGMUT cadre, including the Kashyap couple, who has been in service of Goa police since 2013.
However, another order was issued after few hours cancelling the transfer of Kashyap couple.
Deputy Secretary to Ministry of Home Affairs, Manoj Kumar Jha issued the order stating that order issued by the Ministry in respect of Kartik Kashyap and Priyanka Kashyap stand cancelled.
This is not for the first time that the transfer order of the Kashyap couple has been cancelled. In 2016, an order was issued transferring the couple to Delhi, but then it was cancelled.
As per the earlier order, Kashyap couple was transferred to Mizoram.
Meanwhile, Sheo Pratap Singh (senior IAS officer), a principal secretary of tourism, has been transferred to Delhi and senior IAS officers, P S Reddy and Puneer Goel have been transferred to Goa from Andaman and Nicobar and Delhi respectively.NT
