Touching up Goa’s fashion designers

The International Centre Goa, The Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and The Economic Development Corporation of Goa, organised a seminar to empower the fashion designers from Goa, to become competent and surge ahead in their industry. This was undertaken since the state has about 2500 fashion designers and most of their businesses are underperforming. The seminar focussed on excelling in branding, sales, central government loans, intellectual property rights and exports.

The keynote speech was delivered by acclaimed branding and sales guru, Mr Ashton Souza. Experts from Mumbai, Ms Statira Ranina & Ms Siddhi Ghatia, ALMT Legal, presented on Intellectual Property Rights. Dy Director MSME, Mr Shahsi Kumar spoke on central government schemes for fashion designers.

Mr Sandip Bhandare, Chairman Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the Chief Guest, and Mr Sidharth Kuncalienker, Chairman Economic Development Corporation was the guest of honour.
