Football fans in Vasco will be in for a treat with Indian Arrows also thinking of opting for the Tilak maidan in Vasco to be its home ground for the ongoing I-league. Indian Arrows played two of their matches at the Athletic stadium in Bambolim and may shift to Tilak maidan for the remainder of their matches from January 2018.
“Discussions are going on with the TV companies. A call will be taken based on their convenience. As of now, the IndianArrows home matches scheduled for the remainder of December will be held in New Delhi,” stated a senior All India Football Federation (AIFF) source.
“We were thinking of continuing the rest of the matches in Bambolim. However, as the ground has been leased out to FC Goa, we may have to move to Vasco,” added our source.
FIFA guide books on maintenance of grounds states that playing fields should be used for a maximum of seven hours a week.
