Taste of Goa, a two and a half weeks long festival being presented by Goa Forgiving which began on May 13 will conclude on May 30 on Goa Statehood Day. It is being held at various restaurants across Goa like Martin’s Corner, Zeebop, Sheela’s, Cavatina, several food trucks and cafes. It not only aims to give tourists and locals a great culinary experience, but also wishes to encourage family bonding and to showcase the rich culture of Goa.
Most of the participating restaurants have come up with a speciality menu for the festival, whereas some have stuck to dishes from their existing menu.
Speaking about the response so far, co-founder, Taste of Goa, Shaeen Gomes said: “The response has been very good. People have been visiting our participating restaurants. We have got very good reviews from our restaurants.”
As part of the festival, there is an ongoing food photo contest that ends on May 30. There’s no theme for the contest. Participants have to click a picture of a dish from the participating restaurant’s speciality menu, upload them on Instagram, twitter and facebook and use #TasteOfGoa #TasteOfGoaFest2018 #(Restaurant Name). The prizes include free meals at various restaurants, three bumper prizes for the whole festival that include cash as well as free stays at resorts.
