Fire services personnel kept on toes as trees uproot across state

  PANAJI/MARGAO : Following heavy rains that lashed several parts of the state since Wednesday, as many as thirty-one incidents of uprooting of trees were reported keeping fire services personnel on their toes. Three incidents of uprooting of trees on huts and roads were reported in Panaji. A mango tree fell on seven huts near a bar at Tambdi Mati.

No student enrolled in Bogmalo govt primary school yet

  Even a week after reopening of schools, classes have not started in the government primary school at Bogmalo as no student has enrolled with the school. Last year only six students were enrolled in classes III and IV with a single teacher attending to them. The school was established about 52 years ago in 1963.
