Goa Marriott Resort and Spa celebrated the one year anniversary of its very own Goa Baking Company (GBC). A year ago, they inaugurated the celebration with many small doughnuts placed creatively to spell GBC. And now, a successful year later, GBC has grown tremendously and so did its celebratory doughnut. This year, the bakery team baked an eight kilogram chocolate cake and decorated it to make a look like a huge chocolate doughnut.
Present during the celebration were general manager of Goa Marriott Resort and Spa, Gaurav Apte along with executive chef Dibyendu Roy, pastry chef Kalyan and the team of Goa Baking Company, Marriott Associates and guests visiting the hotel.
“We would like to thank all of you for coming out today to join us in celebrating the first milestone achieved by GBC. Without your love and support, we would never have been able to have such a prosperous and sweet year,” said Gaurav Apte
A gigantic doughnut cake was cut and shared by all along with which a lot of smaller actual sugar, chocolate and sprinkle doughnuts were offered to the guests. Trust to believe, the desserts were so good, no one left the venue without having a massive sugar rush.
One fruitful year of GBC making its best breads, custom personalised cakes, fresh baked pizza, homemade cookies, pastries, savories and gourmet coffee, have truly made it a state favourite. While one may visit GBC to eat various items, the chefs would recommend their stuffed croissants, beef cutlet pao and ross omlette burgers as a “must try” from the GBC menu.
