Shubhechchha Ramchandra Mudras, who scored 565 marks out of 600 in the Goa Board HSSC Exam 2018 in the science stream, has secured a direct admission into the BITS Pilani Rajasthan Campus for BE (Computer Science) under the board toppers’ scheme. She is one of the three toppers in science stream in Goa this year.

A resident of Madel-Tivim, Shubhechchha studied at St Mary’s Convent High School, Mapusa up to class 10, where she topped the school in the SSC exam with 95 per cent. She did her higher secondary studies at Dempo Higher Secondary School of Science, Miramar, (PACE integrated course) and secured a percentage of 94.17 per cent.

Academically oriented since her school days, Shubhechchha believes in studying smart rather than studying hard. When asked how she managed to do so well at the HSSC level she says: “I used to challenge myself in perfecting every topic by gathering extra knowledge and understanding every topic deeply so that I was ready for all sorts of applications.”

Shubhechchha was always passionate about science and technology and as it comes naturally to her she chose the science stream. “Literature and other subjects require an extra effort from my side,” she says.

Commenting on people’s perception about science being a difficult subject, she said that there is nothing that is easy or difficult in this world. “It all depends on where our interests lie. If we are passionate about a something, then we automatically find ways and methods to overcome hardships that come our way and excel.”

Shubhechchha also disclosed her success mantra: Dream, Believe, and Achieve. She says that one should set their targets right and never lose focus. “One should have faith in his or herself and whatever he or she is doing. This will boost their confidence. Healthy confidence is the greatest step towards achieving dreams.”

Studies aside, Shubhechchha enjoys travelling and exploring different places, learning about the culture and interacting with people. She adds, “In my free time I write poems in Marathi. I also love listening to music as it opens our mind to new thoughts and feelings.”

After pursuing BE in Computer Science, Shubhechchha reveals that she hopes to pursue MTech in the same and gather the best knowledge in the subject. She wants to use her knowledge and skills for the betterment of the nation by uplifting its technological aspects.
