BANGALORE: Two second half goals by Biju Kumar and Joy Ferrao paved the way for Vasco’s victory as they edged past their state rivals Sesa Football Academy 2-1 in the opening match

of ONGC Second Division League final round played at the KSFA stadium, Bangalore here on Friday.
It was Sesa who drew first blood through Lesly Fernandes in the 40th minute but failed to sustain their lead and went on to concede two goals in the second half.
Vasco was not to throw in the towel and came back strongly after the changeover to outclass their local rivals. Biju Kumar levelled the terms for the Subrata Bhattacharya side in the 75th minute, while ten minutes later Joy Ferrao sealed the victory for Vasco to garner three vital points.
