PANAJI: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, under Ministry of Power, Government of India, will organise various indoor and outdoor games like chess, carrom, table tennis, cricket for their employees all over India. Chess competition for the employees of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd will be held at Mapusa Power Grid substation.

Regional Level Chess Competitions have been completed and top four participants have been selected for National Level. There are total forty participants for National Level which is scheduled from September 2-4, at 400/220 KV Sub-Station, Colvale.

Minister for Tourism, Mr Nilkanth Halarnkar will inaugurate the inter-regional tournament on September 2 at 10am. The closing and prize distribution ceremony of this competition will be held on September 4 5 pm where Minister for Power Mr Aleixo Sequeira will be the chief guest. The first three contestants will participate in the Central Power sector Level chess competition.
