PANAJI: Top Goan athlete and national performer Steffi Cardozo of SAG, has been selected to represent India in the Asian All-Star Athletics Championship, which begins in New Delhi from Thursday (July 29).

Steffi, who recently won three consecutive national medals in this season in senior women’s category, has been selected by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) to represent the country. She will contest in shot-put and will rub shoulders with some of the best from Asia. In the Asian Grand Prix Athletics championships held in Pune, Bangalore and Chennai, last month, Steffi stood fifth in all three major athletic events, disclosed her father Mr Eugene Cardozo.
