PANAJI: The State chess selection tournament (Open & Women)  organised by the Vasco-da-Gama Chess Club in association with Goa Chess Association will be held at MPT Officers Club Hall, Headland Sada, Vasco from February 10-12 between 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. 

The tournament will be conducted in two categories: Open category - both men and women. Women category - only females can participate, irrespective of age, which will be on Swiss League System under FIDE laws of chess. Top ten players from each category will be selected for participation in the national team championship to be held in Goa from February 27. Selected player shall confirm participation and pay ` 500 as deposit at the venue itself which is non-refundable in case the player does not participate in the national.
Entries may be submitted on or before February 8 on payment of entry fee of ` 100 each, to Mr MR Naik or Mr Vasant Naik or Mr Sanjay Kavlekar or Mr Swapnil Hoble or Mr Prassanna Swamy or Mr Standrik Colaso.
