PANAJI: The Goa State Body Building Association (GSBBA) will conduct its selection trials to select the state bodybuilding teams on August 29 at Balli.

The selection trials will be held at Plus Point Gymnasium, Balli on August 29 at 10.30 am. The selections are in view of the all-India inter-state bodybuilding 11th Federation Cup Championships, org-anised by Rajasthan State Bodybuilding Association at Jaipur from September 26-28 and also for the Indian Bodybuilding Federation’s (IBBF) World Body Building Championships to be held for the first time in India at Varanasi from October 27 to November 1. The Indian team’s selection for the World Body Building championships will be held at Kanpur from September 21-23, according to by Goa State Body Building Association’s president, Mr Sandesh Narvekar, who also holds the post of vice-president in the Indian Body Building Federation.

Mr Narvekar also disclosed that it will be for the first time in the history of IBBF that the World Championships would be hosted in India. He said further details regarding the selection trials to select the Goa State Body Building teams may be obtained from either himself, or Mr Girish Kakode or Mr Meghashyam Shirodkar or Mr Ramchandra Asgaonakar.
