PANAJI: Hosts Ponda Footballer’s defeated Rebello Pandal Curtorim 5-4 via tie-breaker to reach the finals of the 21st All-Goa St Anne’s Festival Soccer being played at Curti grounds, Ponda. Siddi scored in the 7th minute to take the lead for Ponda Footballer’s however Curtorim’s Rolland levelled the score through a header in the dying minutes of the first half.

No goal was scored in the second half hence a tie-breaker was implemented where Alex, Johny, Juju, Thapa and John shot on target for Ponda Footballer’s. Vincent. Vitorino, Piedade and Bruno scored for Curtorim but Nelson’s shot was brilliantly saved. In the second semi-finals, Cazy Friends Nuvem defeated Cortalim Bros 3-1 to confirm their place in the August 1 summit clash. Soccorro and Benjo scored 2 and 1 goal respectively for Nuvem while Celio was the lone scorer for Cortalim.
