Sporting Clube take on United Sikkim today

MARGAO: Sporting Clube de Goa will clash with Baichung Bhutia’s United Sikkim in their round 6 match of the I-League at Nehru stadium, Fatorda on Sunday.

Both the teams have played four matches so far and have five points each in their kitty. Both the teams are struggling to find their rhythm and are really in need of a win to bolster their position in the league table. Both the teams have shown promise but what has kept them in a rather difficult position is that they are not able to find goals, despite giving tough time for the teams they have played so far.

Sunday’s match is crucial for both the teams, more so for the Goan side as the two strong teams from this state—Dempo SC and Churchill Brothers have lost their matches in the 6th round.

In league’s other match Pailan Arrows will take on Prayag United SC
at Kolkata’s Salt Lake stadium
on Sunday.
