PANAJI: Shirgao Sports Club, Shirgao won the T20 season ball cricket tournament, organised by Samrat Sports Club, Ozarim, defeating Binani R & S Club, Colvale by 7 wickets.

Binani were all out for 106. Ashish Shirodkar (32) and  Abhijeet Talekar (22) were the main scorers. For Shirgao Madhu  and Vaman Gaonkar claimed 3-21  and 2-18 respectively. In reply, Shirgao reached 107 for 3. Ravindra Naik top-scored with an unbeaten 34 while Saesh Shirgaonkar (28) and Kalpesh Ghadi (17 n.o.) were the other contributors. The winners and runners up were awarded trophies along with Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively.
Mr Babu Azgaonkar, Sports and Panchayat Minister was the chief guest. Mr Prasad Phatarpekar, GCA secretary, Mr Dasharath Mahale, Director KTC, Mr Vallabh Desai, Mr  Bhagwan Shetye, Mr Manohar Naik were  present as guests of honour. Also present were Mr Govind Gawas, Mr Gopi Naik, Mr Ulhas Naik. Mr Bapu Naik compered the function and Mr Sitaram Naik proposed the vote of thanks.
