PANAJI: Rosary College, Navelim won the inter-college Tennikoit championship organised by Goa University at University Sports Complex, Taleigao Plateau on Saturday. This was their third championship win in three consecutive years.

In the finals Rosary College beat Shree Mallikarjun College 2-0. Savira Pires beat Arpan Naik 21-09, 21-08 and Savira Fernandes beat Sanjitha Shet Dessai 18-21, 21-19, 21-11. Dr Gopalkumar, librarian of Goa University was the chief guest who awarded trophies and medals to the winners. Meanwhile, Shree Damodar College and Rosary College entered into the quarter-finals of the inter-college Basketball (Men) championship held at newly constructed University Basketball court at Taleigao plateau. Shree Damodar College beat Don Bosco College by 33-22 points while Rosary College beat Architecture College 20-11. Earlier, Prof A V Afonso, Officiating Vice-Chancellor and Dean of Social Sciences of Goa University inaugurated the newly laid Basketball court.
