PANAJI: Ponda Veterans stunned Customs and Central Excise 2-1 riding on a Vilroy Fernandes brace in the inaugural match of All Goa Diago Vaz memorial veterans football tournament, organised by Don Bosco Past Pupils at Don Bosco grounds, Panaji. The winners led 2-0 at the breather.

Vilroy gave Ponda the lead in the 15th minute and consolidated it ten minutes later. Franky Mascarenhas reduced the margin for Customs. Freddy Ferrao of Ponda was declared the man-of-the-match. Rev Fr Michael Mascarenhas, Provincial Economer of Panaji-Konkan province, was the chief guest for the match.
