PANAJI: World Yogasana champion and Goa’s own wonder boy, Nhehern Acharya, a Std 8th student of Dr K B Hedgewar High School, Panaji continued his phenomenal success in his favourite discipline as he grabbed 4 gold medals at the World Yogasana Championships, which concluded at Rosario City, Argentina.

Merces-based Nhehern won the gold in Yogasanas, Artistic Yoga, Rhythmic Yoga and Artistic Pair. The 13-year-old Yogasana marvel was the award winner at the last World Yogasana Championships and at Rosario City he represented a 12-member Indian team, which secured 12 gold, 7 silver and 13 bronze in eight different events.

According to his father, Mr Navin Acharya, the credit of his son’s success goes to Sports Authority of Goa, Hedgewar School, Yoganusandana Kendra of Tapobhumi, Kundai along with Ms Akshada Azgaokar from Mapusa his dance and Bharatnatya trainer, all being of
immense support.
