MAPUSA: PVC Parra registered a whopping 8-0 win over 9-men Guirim Youth and Cultural Association in the GFA’s Third Division League match played at Anjuna grounds, on Sunday.
The game consisted of only one half, as the Guirim side, starting the match with only nine players, refused to the play the second session as two of their players suffered injuries.
Meanwhile, Parra hoping for a play-off spot got things underway in the early stages of the match with Sanford Araujo netting a quick-fire hat-trick scoring in the 3rd, 7th and 15th minute.
Valentino Rosario then found the nets two minutes later, before Sanford added his fourth in the 22nd minute. The young Parra outfit literally toyed with their hapless Guirim counterparts and further inflated the lead through Waldron Martins (36th), Joaquim Pacheco (39th) and Atif Mirja (45th).
