MARGAO: Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda entered the quarter-finals of All Goa Inter-school U-15 Petlu Gold-Diamond football trophy when they registered a convincing 2-0 victory over Mae dos Pobres High School, Nuvem at Varca Sports Club grounds, Tuesday.

Our Lady of Rosary scored once in each half through Eliston D’Silva (5th minute) and Wilroy Cardozo (46th minute).
The lively match attracted a good number of spectators who cheered the youngsters as they dished out good football in both the sessions of play in which Rosary Boys, Fatorda had the upper hand for most part of play. Rosary sounded warning in the beginning itself and went on scoring quite early when Charlton Dias put through to Eliston who slammed the ball to the far corner of the nets.
In the second session, play was confined to midfield for sometime and then Rosary scored again through Wilroy after receiving a neat pass from Pious Barreto. Nuvem school’s goalkeeper Denson pulled off some smart saves to deny Rosary more goals. Rosary High School now await the winners of Guardian Agnel vs St Andrew’s match slated for February 10.
