Rohan Kamble’s goal in the 75th minute almost made it a certain victory for Vasco but Chukwudi Chukwuma magic in the 89th minute saw Sesa FA level the score as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

The first half was clearly dominated by Sesa FA who with their meticulous passes and positional play tore apart the Vasco defence on quite a few occasions but were unable to score until the 45th minute to take the lead.

Vasco were a totally transformed side in the second session as they first restored parity and then went on to take a 2-1 lead over their opponents.  Sesa however stunned everyone with their miraculous comeback in the dying minutes of the match when they managed to find the much-needed equaliser.

While the first half was played on a rather precautions manner with both the teams being on the defensive for most part of the play, it was the Sesa team that proved to gain advantage following the goal that came in their favour just a few seconds before the half time. Sesa were on the attacking mode for a spell of about seven minutes before the half time whistle and attacked relentlessly producing three continuous attacks.

First, midfielder Joston almost scored for Sesa as he acrobatically sent a bicycle kick towards the Vasco goal which missed the target narrowly.

Soon after they attacked again and this time Chukwudi Chukwuma saw his powerful shot hitting the horizontal bar and come back into play as the ball rolled at the feet of Mauvin Borges, who let go a high shot that entered the roof of the nets beating the Vasco keeper Rajini Kumar all ends out.

In the second session, Vasco began to attack from the word go and succeeded in scoring the equaliser within five minutes of play.  Vasco’s confident striker Agnelo Quadros sent a deep cross from the flank and Felix Odili leaped high to head the ball into the Sesa nets to completely deceive keeper Thockchom Singh.

The next 19 minutes were played on almost equal footings but then Vasco suddenly switched on to attacking mode and moved ahead by scoring a fantastic goal through Rohan Kamble who chipped the ball smartly over advancing Sesa keeper.

Vasco then began dominating the proceedings and looked towards a certain win, but with hardly few seconds remaining for the final hooter Chuckwudi Chuckwuma scored off a flag kick for Sesa to level the score 2-2.
