National Laser and Windsurfing championships inaugurated

PANAJI: The National Laser and Windsurfing Championships 2010 were inaugurated on Tuesday by Dr Susana de Sousa, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs at Dona Paula.
The championship has seen a record number of entries in the Laser class with 58 participants in the Laser championships and eight participants in the Windsurfing championships.
All the top national sailors in laser class have reported for the championships with Rajesh Choudhary of AYN leading the race for the championships.  He is expected to be given a close fight by his competitors Jasbeer Singh and B S Raut. 
Among windsurfing, Derrick Menezes and Donald Coelho are expected to fight it out for the championships. The main championships will start from Wednesday morning at 11 am with 3 to 4 races being held everyday in the morning and evening session.
