PANAJI: Miracles High School, Sanguem scored a 2-1 win over Collem School to emerge as the Sanguem Taluka football champs in the tournament organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Sanguem Taluka Sports Complex grounds.

In an exciting match, both school teams gave a good display of their skills. But finally, Miracles High School, Sanguem emerged winners with the final score reading 2-1 in their favour.
Miracles scored their first goal in the very third minute of the match. The goal coming from the boots of Elton Pereira. Miracles also added another goal to their score almost at the end of the first half. The second goal was scored by Olivio Barbosa.
The second session saw the Collem school working hard to reduce the margin and they tasted success within five minutes of the second half.
Thereafter a tough battle followed but Miracles High School stood their guard and did not allow the Collem School to do any more damage. Finally, Miracles emerged champs much to the delight of their supporters and players. The team was ably coached by Shivanand Alange with the expert guidance of Fr John C D’Souza, Manager of Miracles High School, Sanguem.
