MAPUSA: Maddavaddo Veterans had to wait for the penalty shootout to get the better of Sauntavaddo Veterans 4-2 in the inaugural match of the Late Aleixo Menezes Veterans inter-ward tourney, played at Calangute Association grounds, Calangute on Thursday.

  Both the teams were locked in a goalless draw in the 70-minute duel. In the tie-breaker Vincent, Anton Xavier and Francis shot on target for Maddavaddo while Joaquim and Vasudev scored for Sauntavaddo.
