MAPUSA: Holiday Club Arpora pipped Adarsh Yuvakh Sangh, Saligao 6-5 in the tie-breaker to enter the quarters of the Late Pramodini Dattaram Palyekar Soccer, organised by Football Club of Siolim at St Anthony’s Church grounds, Siolim Thursday.

The 70 minutes of duel ended in a 2-2 draw. Fernandes, receiving a through pass from Merwyn Fernandes, scored the opener in the 10th minute. Arpora fought back with Pradeep Chopdekar’s brace to make it 2-1. Adarsh got the equaliser through their junior national Aveline Fernandes, who tapped the ball past the Arpora keeper off a cross by Merwyn Fernandes. In the penalty shootout, Lawrence Rodrigues, Gauresh Naik, Shailesh Palyekar and Adan Baigh scored for Arpora while Nakul Arlekar, Merwyn Fernandes and Rupesh Diukar shot on target for Saligao.
