MAPUSA: Calangute Association’s stay in Late Pramodini Dattaram Palyekar Soccer, organised by Football Club of Siolim, was cut short by Nerul Sports Club, who won 4-1 on Sunday to enter the next round.

In the match played at St Anthony’s Church grounds, Siolim, both the teams failed to score in regulation time as their marksmen failed to fire. Jenifer Clemente missed for Nerul while Augustine Rodrigues and Celine Ratos were the culprits for Calangute. In the tie-breaker, Rajendra Madgaonkar, Avinash Shirodkar, Deepraj Sangelkar and Savesh Simipurushkar shot on target for Nerul while only Augustine scored for Calangute.
