PANAJI: Olencio Dias from Margao has been promoted as national ‘A’ panel basketball referee during 36th Sub-junior National basketball championship at Chittogarh, Rajasthan. Dias is the first Goan to become an ‘A’ panel referee since the formation of Goa Basketball Association. Dias represented Goa in senior nationals and has coached Goan teams. He will appear for FIBA Referee’s Test in two years.
