MARGAO: Betalbatim SC entered the quarter-finals of Benaulim Super Soccer after scoring a solitary-goal victory over United Club of Benaulim, at St John, the Baptist grounds, Benaulim Friday.

The all-important goal was scored by Desmond Fernandes through a spot kick. United Club of Benaulim worked hard to restore parity but failed to find the mark due to erratic shooting. Once Stephen Baptista almost found the mark but the Betalbatim keeper brought off a spectacular save.
