MAPUSA: Bicholim Association Football Club registered a narrow 1-0 win over Youth Club Colvale, in the GFA Third Division League match played at Tivim grounds on Saturday.

It was a brace by Vishnu Mandrekar who scored a goal in each half that gave the Bicholim side full three points. A hot-blooded shot by Vishnu in the 31st minute of the first session, crashed to the far corner of the goal.On resumption of play, Colvale came with renewed ideas and managed to level terms in the 52nd minute through a fine placement by Julian D’Souza, 1-1.

With hardly three minutes left for the final hooter, it was once again Vishnu Mandrekar, who latched on to a 20-yard shot, which gave no chance to the rival keeper to react.
