MAPUSA: Arambol SC surprised Saligao United with two second half goals to enter the quarters of Fr Chico Cup 2010, organised by Candolim SC at Dr Gustavo Monteiro stadium, Candolim on Thursday.

Arambol forged ahead in the 15th minute through Vivek Kandolkar, who superbly connected an Aveline Fernandes corner. Saligao’s Legorio Alvares almost scored a self goal, which luckily rebounded off the crosspiece. However two minutes from close, Jaison Fernandes got past a host of Saligao defenders and the keeper to shoot at the open goal and saw Cedric Rodrigues slam the ball into the nets.
